Droplet size testing by laser diffraction is a rapid screening tool that gives valuable performance data which is particularly useful in the early stage of product development. However, this method does not discriminate between multiple components in a formulation, and thus it aerodynamic cascade impactor has to be utilized alongside in the later stage of product development.
